The LOST Puppy....

While leaving for work on this cold 17 degree morning, I saw a lost puppy in the middle of the street down from my house, so I pulled over and got out. Keep in mind last time I did this, I ended up with a torn up house and a third dog. This time, I knew bringing him to work for the day wouldn't be an option like last time. So I put him in the Tahoe with me and drove to Dyer about a 1/2 mile down the road where there are many houses and other animals running around.

I had no option but to drop him off somewhere out of the street, into a save place and somewhere he may have a chance. I saw a home with their garage door open. There was another puppy in that garage and the only thing I could think is, this dog needs a friend and a warm place today!

So completely against what I was about to do, I dropped the dog off. I don't understand how in the world people can do this because here I was not knowing this dog for a whole 30 seconds and my heart was breaking. He didn't understand what was going on and I was helpless to him!

The other puppy ran out to meet us and welcomed the Lost Puppy into his garage for a warm place to stay. That made me feel better knowing I didn't just drive past the Lost Puppy with no where to go. Maybe he'll have a chance. Or maybe, I'll see him on my way home and provide a place until I can find that permanent home. Im so sad and just as lost as he is.

On the way to work all I could think about is how God says to do what we can do and He will do what we cannot do. So Im praying this is one of those times He sees what I could not do. I pray that Lost puppy is in Gods hands and He finds that puppy the perfect home.
